Default Racing Saved My S2000

So the S is all set to go racing this weekend and thus I borrowed a car to get to work this morning. Well an F150 decided he didn't want to slow down when the traffic did and would rather implant himself in the back of my car. Fortunatly I saw him coming in the mirror and tried to relax the best I could. Nothing hurts yet but we'll see tomorrow. On top of that the guy had no license and No insurance. He probably would have driven off if his F150 still ran. when I got home My S2000 was almost Smiling at me saying thank you as I probably would have driven it to work today had it not been for going racing.

So far so good. Neck is starting to give me a little pain but that's it. I've had more girls offer back rubs today then in the last 20 years.

Glad to hear you are ok. But think of this, If you drove your S you would have not been in the same spot. You probably would have already been at work.

Remember the Black 850 turbo with the Chip that I was driving around for a few months before I got the S2K? I belongs to someone else now and it took the ultimate sacrafice. That aren't happy but at the same time they know I did all I good to get out of the way. Looks like it can be fixed but who's paying since the guy that hit me can't.

I was rear ended a few years ago by some clown with no insurance in a pick up truck... What a huge hassle.

Of course he was ticketed, fought the ticket through about four court appearances (all of which I had to spend my time at to testify...), and of course was found guilty and ordered to pay restitution.

Neither I nor my insurance company has seen a dime of that restitution yet, and I doubt I ever will. I'm out the $500 deductable, the insurance company much more than that.

The bright side, of course, is that you aren't injured, you can still race the S2000 this weekend, and cars can (more or less) be repaired!

One nice thing about the law of Kentucky as to uninsured drivers is that if you get a judgment against the ass and he does not pay it, then he loses his license until he does AND under some circumstances, they'll take the plates off his car too. That usually gets their attention.

WHOA!! Glad you are ok to start. Hope your neck doesn't become an issue at the Pro this weekend.

Neck rubs 20 years ago! LOL...I can just hear you at 2yo, "hey baby...my neck hurts from all this crawling around. How 'bout giving me a neck rub, sugarlips, help relieve my stress. Com'on honey...I'll give you ride in my pedal car when I'm old enough to drive it."
