What's funny about this is I'd say there's an 85% likelihood that James Gunn will win this thing, and he didn't make the poll

...also, I predict there's about a .000001% chance of JP winning, which I coincidentally calculate as the likelihood that all the rest of us die of aneurisms on the first lap

John, while I think James is probably the best driver in the lineup, I don't think he's most likely to win, especially only getting 2 sessions. James has never been in a Radical or seen Pahrump before; any skill advantage he has over someone like me is going to be lost in track familiarization.

The persons to look out for are Will and Aaron. Will has had SIX full sessions in a Radical, at Pahrump. If he doesn't win this thing he truly sucks. Aaron has about two sessions in a Radical at Pahrump, so if he doesn't beat all the people driving Radicals for the first time, he truly sucks too.

If the ballast thing is really happening, I propose an additional 25lbs. for every session a driver has had in a Radical at Pahrump.

Let's see.... J.P. has five votes. J.P. must be threatening customers that he won't ship their orders ubtil they vote for him.

Is any of the spectators planning on updating this thread after each of the 8 sessions...live coverage? If you can't get online at the track, you could call in the action to someone who can post.

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out. It's going to be a lot of fun.

It goes without saying that I defer to your vast expertise re: "cockpits"

I detect some form of homoerotic connotation here
