Default Rays lug nuts?

Im planning on running my volk rims this coming track day (lapping day) since my tires are almost done and am going to be getting new tires. Just wondering if anyone on here has used the Rays lug nuts (the ones less than half the weight of stock lugs). I usually use these rims on the street but may consider track time too.

How strong are these lugs and anyone have any problems with them.

So i take it that you run Rays lugs on the track with your volks?

i ran rays with my volks on the track. no issue what so ever.

i use to use cheap 50 cents opened lugs as well.

i would think the rays lugs nuts would be the same

Be very careful with aluminum lugs like Rays and Work. The threads are very soft, and strip extremely easily. Make sure you are hand-threading them all. No impact wrench unless you're completely sure they're threaded correctly.

I don't have volks... but as long as you are using tapered lug nuts on aftermarket rims, torqued to the right spec, you should be fine.

If they work, as people say, they work. But I would not bother; IMO, the tiny, tiny, tiny advantage you get from saving a few grams near the center of the wheel isn't worth dealing with aluminum lug nuts.

ive used them for 3 years, torque gun and all. NEVER had an issue. Just dont mess with them when they are hot right after coming off the track and youll be fine.
