I am wondering if its the internal shock piston wiggling around

Maybe loosen the spring and wiggle the shaft and see if it moves

Doubtful you'd hear the shock piston moving around and if you did the shock would be toast and it would ride so poorly you'd know something was wrong. Still sounds like it could be in the top hats

I was getting a similar noise over the cracks in the pit lane the last time I was out in Oct. I kind of forgot about it as I have been very busy since. Thanks for reminding me to put it on my list for spring! I was wondering about diff mounts or something making the sound? I was thinking it could have been the shock bolts too so I will keep an eye here for updates

Sounds like top hat to me too. Ameer, can you toss an OEM hat on? The Tein ones are pretty cheap if they fit. IIRC $80 for a pair or something not to crazy.

I'm going to use spacers for the sway bar and make sure that's not hitting first. Then I want to pad the canisters to make sure it isn't those either. Will update later - it's not the shock shaft. Zero play in that thing and the shocks are working flawlessly.

And if it's the top hat you won't feel it when the shock is off the car either. It won't be until it's together and has weight on it

Move the shock left to right and see if noise moves. I need to do that with mine

Solid mounts have some noise. My entire rear is stripped thats why I can hear it. It's something I am going to have to live with haha but at least my problem is not bad.

I don't know if the Eibach should be making noise though. Boyguan said he used electric tape where the shock shaft meets the bearing on the top hat and it stopped his clunking - maybe you can try that?

What you can do is take out the passenger rear first and take off the top had and see if there is play with the bushings. You should be easily able to tell
