Default Recommended books on datalogging?

I am looking to purchase a datalogging system, something basic, like one of th RLC Racing ones, a Traqmate, or a G2X.
While looking for some books on the topic, I could only find 2 - one by Simon McBeath that seems older and more focused on pro-level systems and one by Graham Templemen that has so-so reviews.

Let me know if you have read any others that you would recommend.

Thanks.

I quite liked Templemen's book. It was basic enough to get you started but had enough advanced stuff to keep you thinking about the next possible step.

Given your criteria, don't even bother with this one: http://www.race-technology.com/racecar_dat...ion_8_7572.html
It's a great book but a VERY heavy read - almost textbook quality. It's targetted towards a race engineer on a pro team or a very tech-savy individual.

thanks. I am getting Templeman's book. The other one you listed looks interesting, perhaps down the line a bit.
