There's a good chance times will be slower at Shenandoah this year. We had awesome weather in '07. I anticipate very hot weahter correlating to potentially slower times. Personally, I love the heat, just not at the track.

Yes, it is. Last year's RTA there was my first weekend on that track. I believe I kept getting faster throughout the weekend with my best lap on the last one of the day. Unfortunately, NASA replaced a North Course VIR event with a Full course. So by running neither Shenandoah nor the North Course, all TT venues for the Mid-Atlantic chapter will be HP tracks. Not sure how CMP is laid out, but that's my wife's birthday weekend.
We're speaking with a number of groups/tracks in the midwest about hosting RTA sanctioned events.
They may not be the "big" productions of a standalone RTA event, but these sanctioned events will run under our rule-set and will be "Officially Sanctioned by Redline Time Attack".
This is something we are looking into doing all over the country, as our rules are pretty much the standard when it comes to Time Attacks in North America. We dont need startup groups doing their own thing, creating new rules, new classes, etc... it will confuse people and divide the industry/enthusiasts.
The group pays us a modest fee to have the Sanction and to cover our expense for flying an official out to the venue to oversee the event.

Regarding VIR: We ran the Street Time Attack in 2007... GTLive ran it in 2006...
We'll be running the Time Attack portion again for GTLive this October. Street Class will be on the Patriot Course. Modified and Unlimited will be on VIR Main.

Well I FINALLY got my in-car footage from Buttonwillow up.
Here's the 1:45.5 second lap, setting the Redline track record and overall track record for a US-built Time Attack car. Enjoy:
