Default Replace Stock Coilovers

I have noticed some pretty nice bouciness to my ride over the last 10k miles or so. I have been on serious track time withdrawl and will be going an HPDE in october. I am looking to get some new coilovers. I know the drill JDM == "The poop" and the real ones are very expensive and have features that would probably just piss me off at best and maybe wreck my no-talent ass at worst. So my question is for guys who have run through more then one pair of stockers. Where did you get the from? new used? how much? decent alternatives that might give me a chance to learn a thing or two about rebound settings etc. Thanks.

You can replace the stockers with Koni yellows. If you want coilovers you need to decide how much you want to spend.

The koni yellows are a good alternative to the stockers? That's not a bad idea. What kind of prices are we talking about?

The koni yellows seem like a good alternative to getting a set of fully adustable coilovers for a n00b like me. I think that is my solution for now. thanks for the advice.

KW Variant 3 Coilovers. Available in the Marketplace. Similar priced to JDM's coilovers, but I think these are a higher quality piece.

I don't believe I know enough about suspension setups to take advantage of 3 way adustable coil-overs.

Few actually do and I commend you on not pretending that you do!!

If you are using OE shocks and are happy with that setup then koni's are your best choice. They are better shocks than stock, they are drop-in replacements (you can even get a 3/4" drop on the lower setting and you can get a whole set for less than a grand (not sure exact price, post in the WTB forum). Set them to full stiff when installed and off you go.

They have them in the marketplace for $740 or so. I think they will suit me great. The install looks a little daunting as I haven't done suspension work before. I looked at the walk-through, but the one part that confuses me is what they are doing with the pizza box. Can someone explain?
Thanks.

Looks to me like it was a way to align the offset angle of the top bolts from the bottom bracket in order to avoid excessive spinning of the shaft in the shock body.
