Fridays are no good with the new job. Might work something out for one of the Streets events, but can't make this one.

The trouble with this date for me is that the 13th is the wife's birthday. If I go I have to blow off taking her out for her birthday dinner which is bad. The only other options would be to:

a) leave late, really late like 11PM and arrive at 3AM. Doable but at 38 I'm getting a bit old for it;
b) take her and the dogs and somehow convince her that going out to the middle of a dust bowl is even slightly interesting.

It's not looking good.

I've driven up in the morning before. Leave before 4:00. If I go I'm not sure which car to take because I may need to save tires on the GG for Honda Cup, yet I need seat time in the GG and also need to use my tires on the white car before they get too old.

BTW Erik, if I can do it at my age you have no excuse. I've left for Parrump at 2:15 a.m., track all day, and arrive back same day/night at 11:00 p.m.

It can take that long on Thurs evening because of LA traffic (we have to cross LA for every event!), but that's why I prefer early morning to get through LA before traffic (before 5:30).

BtW, it looks like I won't make it. Need to focus on my job if I want to keep racing . Busy week ahead.
