Runoffs Qualifying 1
Down to 1:42.27 in today's first qualifying.
When the leaders are at 38.8, you might think there's not much to be excited about but I'm pretty happy with it, as that as low 42 was the goal I set after the weekend practice. Also today was on old tires, so hopefully tomorrow's AM session on fresh rubber will be better but you never know with traffic.
Kumho had a nice dinner tonight for all the regular Kumho competitors, which was nice. They attribute their rise in sales over the past 6 years from $100k to 500k to their grassroots involvement in SCCA and said thier SCCA support would continue even though they are now supporting ALMS.

edit: That should be $100M to $500M (not k).
Race is Saturday at 11am, 2 more qualifying sessions left.
I should add that the new diff is what's making the timing gains possible because it's all coming from corner speed at this point and being able to control the rotation of the car better mid corner & corner exit(due to the diff), so my initial assesment of 0.6-0.7 seconds was just that... initial. The gains are even greater now that I'm adapting to it. Also, I'm running some spacers to help get the track a little wider.
