Not the best picture...... it turned out that the guy mounted my cage too far forward for the bars behind the seat.... he should have been back about 1.5" from where it is.... he cut the tubes out and welded in some bent tubes so my seat fits better.... still not 100% perfect, but it works..... EFFECT may have some pics of his..... you can sort of see the hardtop mounts.... basically thin angle iron welded in place with the holes drilled.....almost the same in the front... just some thin angle iron bent.... then held in place by the screws.....
EDIT - Yes, I know the welds aren't that pretty, but I only paid $900.00 for everything including the window net mounting, the hardtop mounts, etc...... King motorsports wanted $3500.... so I will take the ugly welds and save $2600 anyday...
I don't have pics of the cage now that it he bent the tubes behind my seat......
yeah your guy should have mounted the main hoop to the "shelf" behind the seat, not all the way to the floor. I'm not sure its at all nescarry to run the rear diagonals so far back. To the shock towers should be more than suffecient. But I guess if you at legal weight, it's not gonna hurt you having the extra metal.
Oh yeah "ugly welds" might not have penetrated completely. Gotta be careful.
All IMO of course.
Here http://tcdesignfab.com/Marty%20S2k%20rollcage.htm are pics of SpfintkterMC's cage made by the same guy who built mine. Ours are nearly identical. (I'm too lazy to unbolt my hardtop to take pics).
hindsight!!!!!!! I pretty much copied EFFECT's rollcage which was built with floor mounts instead of shelf.... but... can't fix it now......I think my car will be about 20lbs-25lbs over weight if i get the fuel close to empty.....
Ugly welds - the guy has built cages for sprint / dirt track cars for years so I guess he knows what he is doing.... just not very pretty.... i will get some red toothpaste to smoothen it out.

Figured out the text extraction:
Touring 9.b.4:
Interior trim panels may be cut solely to permit passage and attachment of roll cage front and rear hoop braces. Dashboard may be cut solely to allow passage of roll cage front downtubes. All other interior panels shall remain unmodified unless otherwise so permitted on the vehicle
Without the top or rollhoops there is basically nothing behind the seats (all the top tray and the side trim attaches to the top frame). that leave the entire back open for the cage and makes only the dash and doors an issue.
"E. One (1) bar is required in a horizontal plane between forward cage braces in the dash area."
It doesn't say behind the dash nor does it say within the enclosed area of the dash so I don't see why a horizontal bar at the base of the windshield but just above the dash pad would not satisfy that requirement.
Unlike the front hoop mounts, there isn't a requirement in the sections posted above that dictate that the rear hoop must be mounted to the floor, so the "shelf" mounting looks perfectly legal to me.
As Ry said, there is a steel tube cross beam that runs the width of the dash. I wouldn't see it being a problem to remove it and replace it with a legal one welding into the cage. It supports the dash and everything under it.
