Default S2000 Launch?

Does anyone here race there s2k in the 1/4?

I took mine to the track lastnight, and I'm not used to it at all!

No matter what I did, I couldn't launch, without bogging or stalling 1st gear...

Fastest time was 14.9 because of it.

I'm used to my old mustangs, didn't think the s2k would be a major difference.

Anyone got any tips on how to launch the car?

6k-7k quick clutch slip and mind your rear differential. 1.9ish 60' times are possible.

What kind of tires are you running?

The car is not a drag car. when i took my car to the track when i first got it i revved to 6k drop the clutch and floored it with lil tire slippage. the best i could do was 14.1.

Exactly, I used to launch my 5.0 at 2500, and that was pushing it.

Next time around, I'll try higher.

I'm running 4 different tires lol.

I'm waiting to fix something, then going to get new wheels/tires.
