Arrow S2000 transmission disassembled

I thought I blew my trans last weekend when racing at buttonwillow. I couldn't go into any gear.

Before buying a new trans I decided to rip my "blown" one apart.

The results wer surprising. Nothing has broken except a 2$ pin that held the shift rod into the shift linkage assembly.

Checked everything over 2x to make sure I didn't miss anything but it all looks normal.

Anyone ever heard this happen to anyone b4?

Btw if ur beaking down ur tans I can help u with a few tips.

Great work well done for finding he fault.

$2 beats purchasing a replacement transmission

Did you just use a pin from the hardware store as a replacement?

Just removed the pin from the rod and rod holder.

The main shifter rods has a few scratches as seen in the first pics.

I sanded down the scratches with 2000 grit and polished the rod. Looks good and hopefully it doesn't have lots of friction

i will try to get the trans together later down the week.

That almost looks identical to the B series shift linkage pins.

Preordered a pin that has previously failed and caused you to take apart your gearbox, while shrugging off the supposedly inferior hardware store pin? haha
