I know this has been talked about on another list but there was not an answer for it
I just got a saner bar and want to do the mcmaster thing. I went to the site and found the same ends that were longer and a little thicker. Cant you hog out the hole rather than machine the bar? Or can you counter sink the holes on the back side of the bar to get the "thin-ness"?

I would rather install it right the 1st time any help would be great..

Thanks

The bar end is machined thinner. I can't remember what the thickness that works is, and I can't go out to the garage and measure as my car is in the shop rignt now.

I should get it back tomorrow and will measure and post then.

If you dont mind measuring it that would be quite helpful.

So, have you had enough time to measure?

Rather than asking silvershadow, why don't you go to the McMaster website, look up the specs on the endlinks, and determine yourself how thick the bar will need to be? That's what I did.

I measured the bar end thickness this morning, and it is about 1/2". I did not use calipers, but just measured with a tape measure. You will probably want to go to the McMaster-Carr website and verify the length of the end-link bolt before machining the bar end
