Default Socal track mentor program

Are you a new S2k driver, or new to the track and are looking for a mentor that drives a s2k? Post your handle here, and I'll do my best to get you paired up with someone who can show you the ropes!

Veterans: post here if you're willing to mentor a newer driver at the track. Please be prepared to coordinate with your student and commit to at least 3 days with them. S2k Challenge days would be perfect, but any event would be great.

Please remember that this is all strictly voluntary, but we want to show the new guys how to hone their driving prowess in a safe environment

I'll keep this post updated with the volunteer mentors and their students.

Mentors:
1. psychoazn (mike k)
2. JJ7 (JJ)
3. Marc G (Marc)
4.
5.

Students:
1. takchi (david aka sandbagger)
2. thepoi (no name?)
3. sloppyjoe256 (need name!)
4. wowwitsgau (Chris)
5.

I've got a few track days under my belt but I'm still pretty slow--I'm down for a student slot if there are any spare mentors!

Edit:// Chris W, btw

Sign me up for student, I've been tracking for about a year, with a few track days of experience. This would really help!

I could help out Mike. Even with sandbaggers like David.

I suggest that both student and instructor have current health insurance cards on them. Also the student should be using his own car + well-fitting helmet and show concern if/when he goes off track.

If someone wants to cover my travel I will sign up!!! Hell I'll sign up as a student.
Great idea guys. We have sort of got something like that but much more informal and only at 1 event so far. Hope it works well for you.
