Default Soft top removal -

Someone made a similar thread in modifications and parts but it's not seeing much action so I thought I would try R&C. If this really is the wrong place for this question and it'll just get moved to modifications and parts then Mods, just delete the thread.

I currently have the Hard Dog rollbar intalled in my car. It has the lowered harness bar and single diagonal both welded. I have the soft top tray still in the car but pretty much all other rear interior trim has been removed.

I will be picking up a hard top in a a couple weeks and plan on removing the soft top. Am I going to be able to get it out without having to pull the rollbar out of the car?

Yes.

However, I do not envy the task ahead of you.

oh man... i'm about to do the same thing next week... so it's pretty much a bitch to install the hard top with the rollbar in?! i have the lowered harness bar as well, which means i didn't put any of the plastics back in, except for the storage/secret compartment

I'm not worried about installing the hard top with the rollbar in I'm worried about the difficulty of removing the soft top with the rollbar in the car.

I guess I should also mention that I'd like to keep it in one piece too so that down the road it could be sold or put back in the car if need be.

I removed my soft-top + motors with the harddog bar in place. Getting to some bolts is slightly difficult, but nothing a box-wrench can't get to. Simple job if you ask me.

^sounds good! When I was looking at it, it didn't seem like it'd be too difficult.

Other than the bolts holding the soft top motors in place and the ones around the rear that hold the top to the car are there any others?
