Hi everyone. Just wanted to share and get feed back from competition drivers regarding this product. What do you think? Beneficial? Waste of $$? For Track only? For Street?

Hmmmm.. I've been wondering the same thing. I would believe that this would be a track-only mod? Solid bushings wouldn't do well to absorb the vibrations from rough streets... Not sure if that could potentially damage the steering rack, but I wouldn't like to find out if i did.

 

Does anyone else offer this here in the US? This is the first I've seen or heard of this kind of kit.

I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to manufacture (CNC) some of your own. You just meed to make sure you used a suitable material.

Honestly, thats a lot of money for those bushing sleeves. Wow. I know, its mad tiiite JDM.

I will say that I have run the whiteline precision steer kit on my Evo which is very similar and it didnt make a huge difference that I felt.

My car did feel different overall coz I switched all my bushings to whiteline with the roll center adjuster, bigger front and rear bars, perrin caster bushings, solid diff mounts etc...

 

This looks like aluminium used by several mitsu guys to stiffen their shifter base bushings and shifter cables under engine bay. But, I agree this should be easy to reproduce. I am surprised T1R has not, actually

It is a kinaesthetic thing only. It will have no discernible effect on performance.

It will marginally change the relative amount of steered angle for a given overall slip angle. You could argue that it will improve steering response time, but the factory bushings will already be quicker to respond than the tire.

 

Yeah, definitely. A roll center adjuster or something is worth more money and improve handling needs.

On my Evo, I also did the beatrush driveshaft bushings from Kamispeed which these look extremely similar to, I wonder if beatrush makes this as well...they are priced a lot better.

Someone email AJR and see if T1R can make this for about 30% less
