Default Sparco Pro2000

I read through the racing seat thread but haven't really found the answer. I used to have a track prepped RSX Type-S and had Sparco Pro ADV and Sparco Pro 2000 seats in there so I know if I fit in these seats. I've seen one picture of a Pro2000 seat in an S, the question is, how well does it actually fit inside an S2K? Does it touch the door trim constantly causing the fabric to rip easily over time? Will there be space to retain my stock seatbelt for street use since driving to and from events with a 6-pt harness isn't exactly my cup of tea? Gutting or cutting my door trim is not an option since I also plan to run the car in STR class for autocross.

Thanks,
Steve

Remember... if you want to put on a harness, you need a roll bar and/or a hard top that is on the car every time you use the harness

Thanks. Yeah, I used to go to the track with a friend who had an AP2 which he sold so we're basically moving his harddog bar to my car.

I know a guy local to me with a Pro2000 in his AP2 and from what I recall it fits perfectly fine with no rubbing. I'll see if I can get him to respond in this thread.

Yeah, I have seen them in multiple cars and they fit great. If the seat feels good, I wouldn't hesitate.

Have fun!

Ah that's great news. I'm not exactly a small guy so I definitely need the Pro2000. What kind of rails/bases should I use?

Yeah I saw that. I don't want to use the sparco base for pretty much the same reasons you mentioned in the FS thread. I also just realized after some more research that it may rub on an AP1 but not on an AP2
