spark plugs? how often replace?

yeah I did use a torque wrench the first year I went to the track but it just felt too lose so I hand torqued them down. I bet this was back when they recommend 18fts . thanks for the info!

All kinds of problems rise to the surface from loose plugs. Just torque them down right the first time. Don't use anti-sieze on NGK plugs. They have a coating called trivalent plating. This silver-or-chrome colored finish on the threads is designed to provide corrosion resistance against moisture and chemicals. The coating also acts as a release agent during spark plug removal.

I change once a year or twice depending on number of events. I never wait for a misfire as that's going to cost me. Like other change at the beginning of the year and then I will put a new set in for the runoffs.

Im a pack rat. I don't know how many perfectly usable spark plugs I have around but it's always some piece of mind.
