As the 2004 season starts in a couple weeks at Laguna, if we are going to make any changes to the classes or classing rules we should do it now rather that after a few events like last year. I am happy with the current rules, but thought it would be good to open it up for comment or at least a thumbs up to the current rules.
(Hope this isn't a bad idea Aaron. )

Hee-hee, I thought about posting this idea a few weeks ago, then figured I didn't want to be the one to stir the hornet's nest.

Anyway, I'm also happy with the current classifications.

BTW Richard, do you realize you beat me this year by one point?!?! I had no idea it was *that* close...

I'll stir the hornet's nest a little ..... What about the 04's with their wheels, engine, and gears essentially modified compared to 00-03's, do they get assessed points for these?

Where are you getting this? Has John updated the points? Doesn't looks so when I checked.

An arrive and drive series. That's a great idea, Rylan!

Man this thread is dead! I guess that's a good thing overall.

Still, I'll throw out an opinion on '04s: I think a stock car should be able to compete in stock, just on principle. No point having someone show up in a bone-stock car and have to go up against guys on RA1s, JRZs, etc.

BUT, once otherwise modded, I propose an automatic 15-point adjustment for the wider wheels and tires. (Normally wheels are 25 but the stock 17s aren't all that light or all that wide compared to the aftermarket 17s of choice, the CE28Ns.)
