Do you really have an s2000 in Santa Cruz to rent to drive at Laguna Seca!?? I would love to bring mine up there, but its a 350 mile drive. Amtrack will get me there for fifty bucks, the race costs 260 somethin, and how much would you rent your car for? Seriously...

yeah not open to just anyone, only people I know.

To be curt, if you're coming via amtrack to save money, going to the track probably isn't gonna fit into your budget. Let alone fullfilling my concern you could afford to replace what you might break. There's event entry to start and costs of consumables. Do the math what it would cost to run your car and then add a little more for my effort.

Those of you who live near Road Atlanta, Road America, VIR, etc I take offers of car trades

yup, cayuga (calabogie), shannonville is a little bit of a distance from Toronto... there is dunnville autodrome as well (rough around the edges though)
ahah, the champ car street course is a public road if we are thinking about the same thing. Are you talking about Molson indy that uses up parts of Lakeshore BLVD?

there is mosport ddt as well
and watkins glen isn't THAT far away. We are actually pretty lucky to have so many tracks around Toronto, but i keep hearing people complain about the lack of.
compared to some locations in US and Canada, we are very very lucky.

A few years ago I went to visit my aunt and uncle in Monterey. From their house, I could hear laguna, and I could see it with binoculars. It was pretty sweet and i've wanted to drive that track ever since. Oh well, maybe some day.
Agreed that we GTAers have got it good.

Even Mid Ohio is doable considering it's only 6 hours away.

Tremblant isn't that far of a drive either.

Events at Elkhart or VIR could be done on a long weekend (provided one leaves on Sunday)
