Default Spoon 16" racing wheels

I was orginally going to use some Volks 17" 7.5 front and 8.5/9 in the back however I was told that it would be better to run with some racing 16' spoon SW388 wheels 16x7 front 16x8 back, if I planned on using the car on the track.

I wanted to see how many here have ran with these wheels or are looking to run them.

I run the Regamaster 16" (same as spoon but not black) on the track and the Volk 17" on the street.

Great light weight wheels.

Is there a difference in price between the Regamaster and spoon? And how would you compare the two. I was thinking about running either or on street and track.

i think AL is running them as street wheels when the car was still street legal. and running the 17 CEs as track wheels.

BTW. he is selling the spoon wheels if you don't mind get the used !

What offsets are available and where did you order them?

Lightweight. Extremely expensive. Limited in terms of tire choices & widths. +45 offsets (+35 available for the fronts to clear Spoon calipers).

Aren't the Spoon wheels 16x6.5 & 16x7.5???

FYI...the Spoon wheels and the Desmond Regamasters are the same basic wheel (i.e. Spoons were made by Desmond). New Spoons are no longer available and good luck finding a place to order the Regamasters.

For the money, the Volks are a much better choice...IMHO.

Spoon fronts have an offset to allow Spoon caliper fit. The Regamasters have 10mm (iirc) less aggressive offset, so less rubbing when lowered as well.

My Regamasters are sitting around waiting for a buyer....

Look into running the same width all the way around with 245/45/16 on 8" rims or go 255/40/17 with the 9" Volks. That seems to be the new hot setup and if I were buying a new set that's what I'd do. You will need suspension mods to make it work though.
