Spring Perches for B Street Shocks
The B Street rules say shocks are open but they have to use the stock springs and stock tophats. The tophat can be bored/drilled to fit a larger shaft, but how do you get a stock compatible lower mount on the threaded portion of the shock. Apparently the only source of the spring perches is from S2000 shocks.
How modifies them for aftermarket shocks? What is the best source for used,. worn out S2000 shocks?
Thanks,
David

The OEM spring perches are a press fit on the stock shocks. A good whack with a hammer and block of wood frees them up. I ran Konis and JRZs in stock class and was able to set the OEM perches on top of the lower mounts on the aftermarket shocks.
^ This. Find a set of consumable OEM shocks, whack the bottom perches off the shock with a hammer, slide over existing shock and set on adjustable rings, done. I've found this to work with a couple different big body aftermarket shocks.
