Spring Rates???
Jason,
This last Sunday's AX was the first event with my new stiffer 750/800 lb springs, lowered stance sans rear sway bar and oem front bar. The car was corner balanced and weighed in at 2400lbs w 1/2 tank of gas wo driver.
I reduced the compression damping all around due to the higher spring rates but i decreased the fronts more than the rears to help reduce any chance of turn in understeer. I increased the rebound damping all around due to the increased spring rates.
The car felt well balanced without any turn in understeer. We noticed a small bit of inside rear wheel spin(not lift) early on so we reduced the rear rebound damping and that change seemed to fix that problem. The car felt hooked up from turn in to apex but there was a bit more understeer than i care to have post apex. I anticipate that will be taken care of with my new A-arms.
