how do you guys do stand-still burnouts? any steps appreciated.

they are laughing because 1. this is a racing forum 2. the s2k isnt really a burnout car 3. if you have the top down and youre doing a burnout please, wear a gas mask

basically, take the abs fuse out. run the rears through the water box, drop from 7k...pray diff doesnt explode

I prefer to do my burnouts on a slow roll. I'll get the car moving just 1 or 2 mph, then engage the clutch, get the revs up to 7500 or so, then drop the clutch. If you've got water available, you won't need near as many revs for the burnout. My neighbors sprinklers get my rears spinning really good every morning. Cold tires help, but of course, the whole point is to warm the tires up. Unless you're just trying to make smoke, in which case I recommend a good crack pipe

I usually do it Shaggy style. It looks like I'm just running in place really fast, and there's a "katinka-ta-tinka-ta-tinka" sound effect, as my feet pitter-patter on the ground. Then I take off like a rocket and leave a cloud of smoke behind me.
Now that's a burnout.
