Default Steering Rack Stop Kit for S2000

Hey guys, I'm running a set of 18x10" CCW's and I have a bit of a concern. At full lock, my front wheels will likely touch my A arms...I would like to prevent bending one.

Turner Motorsports makes this kit for the E36:

I was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy a similar kit for the S2000 (or put one together myself).

Thanks!

Can you make me some too? TC was supposed to make some for me but we never got around to it.

Yeah, I'll start doing the research. If I can get the diameter right, I'll order up some polyurethane bushing in the correct diameter and I'll cut a few sets out for the guys running really wide rims up front. Dang it...I was hoping for an easier solution. lol...no biggie...it ain't rocket science. Gimme a couple weeks. I'm currently elbow deep in other projects but this is certainly on the list.

[QUOTE=s2kobsession,Oct 28 2009, 01:22 PM] Yes, at full lock they likely will touch the a-arms.... depending on the backspacing the rims were ordered with.

I think both of you need to check your specs...

And I know they hit at 7 3/8 but not a huge amount. You do have the 3/8" custom front spacers right?

Bill, either you or CCW is wrong. I called them and they still had your work order. John said the 18x10's are not 7 3/8" backspacing in front, they are 8" front and 8.5" in the rear.

He said he thinks someone may have measured the wheels wrong and that 7 3/8" sounds wrong so he looked it up.

That being said, if he's wrong I'd be really happy because I'll have a smidge more A arm clearance up front.

Who's right and who's wrong?

I don't think John ever makes 2 of the same wheel.

I run a 1" spacer in the front with all wheels the same offset. so I can't be 8 and 8.5 7.5 and 8.5 (with spacers) maybe.

Agreed with that.

The front wheels were 7 7/8" or 7 3/4" backspace by measurement if I remember right. John didn't get them exact. The spacers were 3/8" if i remember right so 7 3/8 - 7 1/2" total backspace.

Stock they hit the a-arms pretty badly. At 7 3/8" they were only a nuisance in the paddock on very tight maneuvers.

I did have them made as 8 and 8.5" backspace - So John is correct on that.
