Stephen Pearce - HC1 NASA-SE Points Leader Interview
Hey guys, my friend and I shot some photos of Stephen's (InsaneSp) car and did a quick Q&A with him about how quickly he climbed through the ranks of NASA HPDE to wheel-to-wheel. Thought you all might enjoy. http://www.futuristmotoring.com/news...-prepped-s2000

I'd like to hear your thoughts on Honda Challenge in the future. Where will the car counts go? I currently have plans to build an H1 car as my next challenge, but I don't want to be racing by myself.

Seems like the car counts are trending in the right direction, though the H1/H2 split seems to vary by region. It's kind of a chicken/egg dilemma in that new builds tend to center around classes with consistently large fields (SM, se30, se46 to some extent) where the growth appears exponential. If a few guys start going out for a given class, it's more likely for others to choose that for a new build. In the SE region we're starting to get a solid core of people who show every event. The more the merrier.

I agree with Stephen on car count and I hope we can to keep the trend growing in the Southeast Region. There are a lot of racers in H1 and H2 in our region but it's hard to get them all out together. We are looking to have a good year in 2016 and there are a hand full of people already talking about running Honda Challenge next year. After 10 races already this year in the books we have 12 different racers enter an event. Now if we could get all 12 to come out on the same weekend we would have an absolute blast.
When the points were updated after the 8th race of the year Stephen Pearce is in the lead by only 4 points, that's close racing! After race 9 and 10 he stretched his lead to 24 points. That second place car is nipping at his heels and getting very tired of looking at his rear bumper......So come out to Road Atlanta this weekend to watch these two battle.
