How are those sizes working for you? I always figured an FI car would need a bit more sidewall. I also think A6 would fit the bill quite well for TA.

Well I have to run wastegate pressure in 2nd and most of 3rd with some traction control on top of that but I guess it could be worse. I'd rather take the lower CG, less rotational inertia, and better handling characteristics than be able to lay down a tiny bit more power.

The tires in it are the A6 and: Hankook Z214 (C90 & C91 compounds)

I know a lot of people like the A6 but that might be due a lot to the contingency.
Nah -- the A6 is, in my opinion, by far the best / fastest DOT R-compound tire. I've since tossed the back issue, but Grassroots tested it against the Hankook R-compounds a while ago and found the Hoosier to be faster.

Oh, nevermind then.

well wastegate pressure is 450whp and if the tires are hot enough and I'm pointed dead strait 3rd isn't all that bad... or at least that's what I tell myself

I have used A6's for multiple weekends on my T3(roughly 3000 lbs) car without an issue. If you are good to them and heat cycle them properly they should last more than one weekend. I typically will get 5-6 cycles out of a set. The tires DO NOT drop off if they are treated well( I have set track records and set fast race laps at the end of the race on several occasions).
I have been faster on the Hoosiers than I was on the Hankooks.

Good to hear I just bought a set. Thanks to everyone for their advice!

A6 is great but non-DOT will be faster if you can get them to temp. Sounds like somebody needs a tire pre-heating system!
