Thanks for the clarification Jonathan. I was one of the people wondering about that setup. I brought it up with Guy when we were working course. Told him he might want to talk to Bob to verify that everything was all good since someone might protest RPF1s on a STR car without illegally pulling fenders. Good to see everything was on the up and up. ....and damn that's a lot of freaking camber.

Yes josh. The car I ran has -5.0 up front and -3.5 in the back. Bob does get even wear on his hankooks for the setup he runs. Bob is very fast locally.

Guy's car is on dunlops right? I've noticed I get some outside wear with my current camber of just shy of 3 degrees in rear and 3.2 in front. 5 degrees does sound a little crazy though...did you guys do anything with a pyrometer?

Thanks for posting that info, that's really interesting.

Oh also, I wonder if you're limiting ride height. Any idea how low Bob's car is?

Looked about as low as your car Jon from what I remember it parked at the hotel.

Bob's car is not low at all. Id say he is at or above 13" from center hub. We ran dunlops all year on Guy's car. We did do pyrometer testing but didn't really give us the information we needed. The tires wear out faster on the inside due to braking but under cornering it works really well. I run 3.3 on my own car with 2.8 in the rear. It really depends on the overall setup of the car.

so he adjusted the upper arms but didn't alter the lower A-arm ball joints? Interesting, and good to know. May have to source a pair of spare upper arms...

I don't understand why I'm seeing specs higher than mine to make the RPF1's work.

I'm using 17x9 +45 RPF1's with a 245/40 in front and a 255/40 in the rear (RS-3), with -2.7*F and -3.2*R.

All of my fenders are rolled, and it sits at about a 2 finger gap. I think that I could possibly fit a 255 in the front. What do you gents think?

For what it's worth, I just used this setup during a recent weekend event after coming from x4 AP2V1 rears with 255 squared Dunlops, and I finally stole 1st in PAX, even with dropping to a 245 in front. The lost weight is amazing!!
