I own one of these which were highly rated in testing for budget gauges. I've compared it's readings against the top line gauges and it reads dead on.

I have looked at them in the past, but after reading reviews comparing them to other tires, including the R-S3, decided not to buy them. If you do let us know what you think.

The only thing that I don't like about them is the fact that they have a lower initial grip and takes a little longer to heat up to get great grip. Put once they are heated they give better grip than star spec, from what I have read.

I may come around the to RS3. I put another 12 runs on them yesterday so now they sit at a total of 28 runs and I think they are waking up. I was really pleased with the grip and feel on the pretty nice asphalt lot in Dixie (south GA tour location). I'll be testing them back to back with my Dunlops on the practice course. I'm looking forward to that!

I'll be interested in your results. I've only been using the Hankooks since they seem to be the tire to have at Lincoln. You proved that the Dunlops could be competitive though and I really hate the RS-3s....

Well, the only problem with my test will be that the Dunlops are down to about the wear bars and I don't have any experience with how they fall off. I have also been driving around on them and the car sits out side. So... I wouldn't call it conclusive. It will however, let me know which I should race on at Dixie in March.

When I codrove an STU STi last October (60+ degrees) with Dunlops at the wear bars they were toast. No grip, very skatey on an asphalt lot.

Well... as a counter point, I took my worn to the bars Dunlops and some brand new ones to a TNT at College Station TX last year and the worn ones were much nicer... at least until the concrete shaved the new tires to an acceptable level.

Instructor recommended starting with 40 PSI (sounded a little too high for me at the time) my first run, let the tires warm up, drop it a couple of pounds, and go see how they feel.

Second run I drove through some spilled coolant in the parking lot and spun out...(excuses are like )third run I ran 35 PSI all around and dropped a few seconds off my run.

Do you guys recommend going any lower between runs? I've heard some people run 35 and 32 in the rear. I have a pretty standard setup 245/255 RS3.
