Street/track tires
What would be the best tire option for a 90% street (dry) /10% track use?
I know the best solution is to go with 2 different sets of tires but I do not want to invest in competition tires as I only race 5 to 10 times a year.

I'm trying out Toyo RA-1s as a summer/track tire; I'll switch to SO-3s for the long rainy season. This is on 17" CE28Ns.
I'll let everyone know how I like them in a few weeks, and how well I can make them last at the end of the summer...

i use the pilot sports on my e36 m3 as they were recommended by a tirerack rep as an excellent road tire with very good track predictability and wear. Since that car understeers quite a bit, the outer edges on the front tires feather a lot. i like the so2s on the s2000 for both road and track use since their sidewall is extremely stiff, even though they in general dont last as long on the street.
I'll keep you posted.
