I've not seen their 2-ways but their 3-ways are They seem to require a lot of maintenance?? Leaking and needing rebuilding every year?? My Ohlins haven't required any maintenance and haven't leaked in the 2 years I've had them and you JRZ guys are making me paranoid that I'm missing something.
cthree - did you get a manual with your Ohlins? I found one on the web awhile back. On page 7, under maintenance/inspection it says to "Lubricate the piston rod(except the thread) and the scraper with a layer of Ohlins red grease, part no 146-01 (100 grams) or 146-02 (400 grams) every 10,000 km". It also says to change the shock absorber oil every 50,000 km with Ohlins shock absorber oil only.

so let me get this straight. You are saying the club sport RS Pro is the same as the Double Adjustble Race version, just the shaft material is different?

How well do the RS Pro's work? in comparison to the double adjustable race version?

Again what spring rates are you guys running?

news2kroller, what spring rates are you using with the singles?
400 REAR 550 front. i drive in so calif and we have horrible roads on major streets in the area. when i say leaking i mean there is some "sweat" on the threads of the shock body, when i got back from the track last week i looked and no new fluid has come out, i suspect that bad roads are worse for shocks than driving fast on smooth roads (ie track conditions). as far as the rates i am happy with them for the most part, i wish i could dial out some of the oversteer it still has, i might go to a 255 next time i get new rear tires.

I may have gotten one but that doesn't mean I would read it

Everything on public roads is harder on suspension pieces than track driving.

That's correct. That's straight from JRZ. I called and asked. A set of RS Pro doubles will set you back $3.5K. Big savings here.

Spring rates - full track spring rates are somewhere in the 750-1150 range depending on setup and tracks. Street - track setups are in the 400-700 range depending on what you can stand to drive.

I wanna ask this Q. for future reference, since I don't think I'll be tracking my S for a while: Any experience with Advanced Design shocks offered through Ground-Control? I heard the good and the bad. Price is not bad for a racing shock. TIA
