Default SV's 3 Days of Buttonwillow starts 9-30-2005

It's time once again for Speed Ventures' annual 3 Days of Buttonwillow extravaganza!! This year it will start Friday 9/30, continuing through the weekend. Each day will feature a different full-track configuration:
http://www.speedventures.com/9-30-2005_event.asp

Note: All three days count toward the S2000 Challenge Series, so there are 30 points up for grabs in each class! (And Mod guys note: Richard won't be there! )

So who's coming? I'm signed up for all three days, but whether you come out for one day or all three, it promises to be a great event with tons of track time to hone your skills.

Buttonwillow Raceway; September 30th, October 1st and October 2nd 2005

Price: $150 Friday, $190 Saturday, $170 Sunday; $290 2 day; $410 3 days ( +
$30 instructor fee if not in school group)

Duration: 3 days 7.5 hours of track time per group!**

Track: Buttonwillow Raceway (near Bakersfield)

Registration: Click here: http://www.speedventures.net/event_forms.asp

Timing: Transponders are available for rental.

Event Info:

At 3 miles, Buttonwillow is the longest and most technical track in the Los
Angeles area. With twenty-three turns, three elevation changes, the banked
"Riverside" sweeper, and a perfect drift over "Lost Hill" (AKA "Magic
Mountain"), Buttonwillow offers both a unique learning environment, and a
challenge to advanced drivers.

We will be running #1 CW Friday, #13 CCW Saturday, and # 25 CCW Sunday as
highlighted in yellow below. This track is suitable for street cars, though
we suggest that the Riverside turn should be approached at conservative
speeds of 70-80 mph in cars without race rollover protection. The remainder
of the turns on this track are moderate-speed (35 - 70mph). Most Turns have
wide runoff areas, clear of major obstacles.
There will be 3 run groups at this event with limited registration to keep
traffic light. A sample schedule is here for your information, though
schedules do change based upon attendance:
http://www.speedventures.com/schedule.asp

Friday's config (Clockwise)

Saturday's config (Counter-clockwise)

Sunday's config (Counter-Clockwise)

**Note - Details of this event are subject to change. Event will run rain or
shine.

Wait, maybe I can get someone to take my white car there early for the whole weekend. Then, I can leave on Thurs night for Laguna, sleep over at Buttonwillow, do couple sessions at BW in the morning in the white car, then go to Laguna for Honda Cup, then stop at BW on the way back Sunday to catch the last session. That way I could compete for MOD points for two of the days .
(Maybe even Mod AND Unlimited with both cars )

RL, if you're willing to do that, I'm willing to drive your white car up (and challenge you in the SV ladder of course).
