I have read somewhere to swap the AP1 subframe out for an AP2. Is this true? Is it just rear or front also? What are the advantages of this? Better suspension geometry?

 

Just rear... AP2 has revised (improved) geometry. You need AP2 sub-frame, upper A arms, and knuckles to complete the swap.

Is this why ap2s dont need a bumpsteer kit??

 

Yes, I believe that excessive bumpsteer is the reason why Honda improved the geometry. However, I honestly don't have any major traction issues with a BSK installed...it was a big difference before and after. My suggestion would be to pick up a good BSk and try that first.

Keep in mind too that with the bump steer kit it also means you must install it correctly to get the best results. I know it's a little more than out of box right on car. Depends on your ride height.
