sway bar for stock class
what other sway bars are out there? i foresee road racing in the future hopefully and i was thinking instead of an autox specific bar like the ones mentioned so far, get the stiffest sway bar combo and only install the front for now, then compensate a little more with other methods like tire stagger, stiffness of shocks, etc. then later on when the car is ready to be set up for road racing the rear bar can be installed.
does this sound like a reasonable option? if so, what are some other stiff front sways that you all might recommend? thanks!

im looking for something softer than those...those were made specific for autox and are said be possibly too stiff for the street or even for road racing. im looking for the stiffest sway bar setup for road racing, id imagine it would be a front and rear combo. the plan is to only install the front bar for now. since it is softer than the 3 in the faq, oversteer can be further reduced by other methods (like stagger tire sizes, 265 rear perhaps). then later on a rear bar can be added for road racing. i hope this makes more sense.
Why so keen on getting beefier sway bars? The big debate over road course sway bars is between the guys who remove the rear bar completely and those who leave it stock. If people get much bigger tires in front, then they also tend to get bigger front sways to compensate.
Bigger rear sways on this car would result in more inside rear wheel lift, meaning a serious decrease in the amount of power available for coming out of a corner.

interesting, this might actually be better then, less money to spend (on a rear bar). so to clarify, for the rear, road racers tend to keep the stock bar or remove it. what about for the front? surely they do not go as far as to get one of the recommended autox bars. for now the car will be autoxed, but later on may be more for road racing. is it recommended to just get an autox bar now and swap it out later for one more suitable for road racing? or is there something that would be reasonable for both? originally i was thinking the stiffest bar one might want to use for road racing.

yeah i read theyre adjustable, but according to the faq theyre still too stiff for street or road racing
i tried searching but the search on these boards isnt very good. apparently the mugen was popluar in 2001ish i guess? i also noticed the cusco bar is 32mm, slightly bigger than the mugen. any road racers have any input?

Here's the deal....like it's been stated above, if you have not put on larger rubber up front, you won't need a larger front sway bar. AND...I'd bet that almost NO ONE runs a stiffer rear sway bar in R&C. I run my saner all year round at the same setting and I don't notice a difference. If anything, I'll turn up the stiffness when I get 17x9 & 255s in the front.
