Default Thoughts on the Cusco swaybar?

Bulletproof Automotive has a Cusco front sway bar HERE They claim it provides 172% increase in stiffeness over the stock bar. Has anyone used it? What do you think? Does it tie the rear down better than the stock bar? How about compared to the Saner, Comptech or Small Fortune Racing bars?

Thanks

172% increase? I doubt it. Probably a 72% increase. For autocross, you really want a 1.25" solid bar. See the FAQ

That sounds pretty close to the middle setting on the Comtech adjustible FSB so it would work if you are using a 225/245 setup.

I'm planning on a 225 all the way around setup.

It's fun and instructional in itself to experiment with unusual setups. And a 225 all around has been done somewhat successfully in the past. You will come back around to 225/245, however.

Is this for autocross? Even if not, the adjustability of a swaybar is one of the most fundamental tuning tools you have at your disposal. You will absolutely regret getting the Cusco bar, for both softness and lack of adjustability.

Having purchased a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that are the same size all the way around (225/50/16) the handling seems way more stable than with the stock size. The front end doesn't dip down in the entry of a corner the way the car does w/ stock size tires. And putting over 150 track miles at Beaver Run during Fall Colors only confirms this.

So now for autocroissing, I plan to purchase the Hoosier R3S04's in the 225/50/16 size for all corners.
