Still time to prep your car, call in sick and make it up to Thill for Fridays event. Should be perfect weather and there's still space open. There's been a complete absence of S2000s the last few events I've been to (including mine). NCRC events aren't the cheapest out there, but you get more track time than you can shake a tube bender at and there's always exotics to drool over.
Yup. It's not cheap. You may pay more, but I think you get more running with ARC/NCRC:
1) Great coaches and instructors (guys who race in real series, not just track junkies)
2) Higher than avg. prices scare off a lot of the fast n furious type
3) Some really beautiful and expensive machines
4) Opportunity to compete in Time Trial Series, ARC Race series and run the occasional Relay Race (lots of fun)
5) 8-10 sessions if you want to run
6) But not just lots of track time: Lots of TRAFIC-LESS track time. Last time out I had Laguna ALL to myself in the last session of the day. I was literally the only car on the track. But even in the morning sessions, the track has far, far less cars than most other groups.
