for a H1 car on RA1's it aint bad.
the current H1 lap record is 1:59.833.

You are right. He says they were using "the longer route" and that the "shortcut" was coned off, but reading more carefully he says the "shortcut" was to the right and went to the very top of the hill. I'll cut him some slack, though, since this is his first trip there (and he's the father of the driver rather than the driver himself).
