Default Tire sizing AP2 B Street

It's about that time to buy tires for this season of autocross, and I'm looking into running a square set up. Last year I ran 225/255 Star Specs in RTR with a stock CR bar. This year, in B Street, I'm planning on running a Gendron Monster bar, but I'm on the fence with regards to tire sizing. I'm planning on going square, but is cramming a 255 on the 7" wide fronts do-able without ruining steering sharpness and feedback? I've seen past threads that discussed running 245 and 255 square Star Spec's with some positive results. My plan is to run Z2's which I've heard pinch better than RS3's and Rivals due to a stiffer sidewall. A 245 square set up is less of a pinch, but still pretty substantial. The 245/45 option wont be as large of a pinch, and it will give me some extra MPH at the top of second which could help out on longer, straighter courses so that may be worth looking into as well. Anyone have some first hand experience they'd like to share? Thanks.

i ran 245 and 255 as well. It worked good but I did miss the crispness of the small front tire. I would have to try them back to back though to get a good comparison instead of going off memory. This year, kinda thinking of trying this r1r tire out though in the 235 size all around.

I was thinking that they would hold me over till the rs3 v2 is out which would be good. We do have super cold mornings till june so depending on my run group time it might work out. I might give them a shot

I have went to events in july and august and its been in the 30s upon arrival. Pretty common to get that low in the summer. We have the widest range of temps in the "high desert". 30 in the morning and 90 in the day is not uncommon.

i actually ran a mismatched set. My 225s were shot so I put my friends 245 Z1's on the front and had the 255 RS3's on the rear.
