Default Tire/swaybar combination

Hi Guys!

I'm getting a set of Toyo RA1's for my S2000 mainly for track events and some autocrossing.

I'm getting the 225/50/16's front and 245/45/16 in the back.

I ran the Kumhos before on TWS with 225/50/16 front and 265/45/16 in back with stock sway bar and it handled pretty neutral.

I read somewhere here that for a 225 front 245 back combination a front sway bar is a must.

I'm thinking about the Mugen one, was just wondering whether I should consider even a stiffer one.

Keep in mind that I want to concentrate on track events, with a second goal improving autocross.

I think the 225/245 combo with a stiffer swaybar will give you pronounced understeer.

It depends on alignment, driving style, and other factors too. I think 225/245s with stock suspension produces a lot more oversteer than most people will want to deal with.

With the bigger swaybar handling gets better and more forgiving, and I can almost guarantee your laptimes will drop.

Zoran - fyi - the mugen kit is backordered to hell. I've had a few on order for customers since March of this year. Sorry man. Just go with the comptech set of two and ditch the rear bar (no, they dont separate them) or get the Gidron bar (~$550 to your door).

fyi, I have the 205/245 RA1s and a comptech front bar only and I think it works great. but then again, I like understeer and push push push.

205/245 RA1 gave me a LOT of push. I now run 235/275 on 17s and it's very neutral. 225/245/16 should be good with a swaybar...I did 205 in front and had a good bit of oversteer that was GREAT for autocross. made it real easy to rotate the car around tight corners but it was slowing me down on the track.

I should have a very cost effective sway bar solution in 2 weeks.
