Torn CV Boot After Track Day.
If you order the OEM CV Boot Kit, it includes a new Axle Nut. I didn't change my axles, so I can't comment on that process, all I did was swap the CV buckets, grease both buckets, and install the new CV boot and straps on the side that failed. Mine was a little different from your failure as my boot didn't tear, the strap did. This is the DIY I followed for the work I performed: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un...y-pics-241367/
Also, when reassembling, how difficult is it to the lower ball joint back in place?
- I would think it would be difficult since a tool was needed to remove it in the first place
Will vehicle need re-aligment after this repair
- I would think not since no changes were made to suspension componets (albeit the ball joint was removed and re-installed).
Thanks.
No alignment needed for popping a ball joint.
And that how-to that kenny_stang linked is a good one.
