Default Tow hook options?

I'm going to be loading my S in a trailer that has an internal wench. My question is, will it be ok to install a J's racing tow hook and load my car onto the trailer with just the wench? Will the aftermarket unit be able to take those stresses? And before someone suggest using the stock hooks I need to say that I didn't get those when I bought the car.

A second question; What other aftermarket tow hook options are there other than J's. The cost is rediculous for the product IMO.

"Trailer". . . "wench". . . nahh, too easy.

Anyway, yes, that's what they're for. No big loss on the stock hooks - many people have found they snap readily anyway.

Arrgh Matey! Perhaps a bevy of lusty wenches would do the trick!

Or you could probably use a single 'winch'.

If the fancy one breaks, you could get a HS steel lifting eye with the same bolt characteristics ( Diameter and thread pitch) from any GOOD (Meaning commercial/industrial fastener supplier.

The J's Racing one should be able to suppor the car. its steel, and mounts the the main frame rail. ive actually pend the factory ones loop some getting my car pulled up on a trailer before.

We have some new aluminum tow hooks coming out in a week. Its been fastly improved over the steel J's one, and probably half the weight. PM me for details if you like

I went back and forth on the spelling. So maybe just to prove you wrong Captain Mike I'll get some of those pit babes to push my car in and out.

I have the TC Design tow hooks.
they go in the stock locations and I have seen them pick up Ry's car when he lost the rear wheel. They are nice and strong.
don't remember what they cost but they are also the ones you see on alot of race BMW's.

They're $150 + shipping for a set of front and rear. Just ordered mine on Friday.
