Default On Track Cooling

Insead of posting multiple threads I was hoping a few of the more experienced track junkies could assist and educate me on some of the better options for keeping the oil temps down on the track - First some basics.

I will be recieving my Alaniz fully built motor in a week or so and my setup consists of a Comptech S/C maxed out with approx. 14 lbs. of boost, AEM W/ Uego gauge. Rc 750s etc.. Now I have a friend with almost an identical setup and he has recently experienced very high Oil temps on track - needless to say I would like to avoid this so, any advice is appreciated
I have planned on purchasing a Canton Accusump but was wondering what would be the best!
Oil cooler?
Flex-a-lite fans?
I already have the Mugen cooling mods but I feel that is just a band-aid!
Thanks for looking!

I don't think an oil cooler is an option for you. You need a front mount oil cooler.

But running the kind of HP you plan to run on a track is going to cause lots of things to break. You will be placing excess stress on everything from the cooling system to the drive train. Its hard to tell what the limit of each component is until breaks.

Get an oil temp and coolant temp gauge. If/when the temps get too high, pit.
Run your heater full blast.
Remove your AC and AC radiator. The extra air that gets to the coolant radiator will help keep coolant temps down a bit.
Run 100% distilled water in your radiator.

100% distilled Water is that really better than regular coolant?

Agreed, I will address the drivetrain issues as they arise. I have the Tech2 FMIC and it takes up alot of space in the front grill, I am willing to return to the stock Comptech cooler if needed to create more room for an oil cooler, If the FMIC is just bling I don't mind losing it for function - or, I can put a small cooler behind the duct I think on the front bumper if that is what I need - I am running the J's style.
Thanks

I am currently running the Defi BF series with a Boost, water temp, Oil Pressure and EGT - I suppose the oil temp is needed as well - I have drilled my dash and have these gauges there but am running out of room for gauges
I live in Florida and still need my AC as this is not a track only car so, removing them is not an option right now!
I have heard conflicting things about the coolant mix, I have been advised to run distilled water with Water Wetter instead of straight D water!

redline's water wetter is your friend, so is a cheap vented hood and lastly, if you can't run a front mount oil cooler, what you can do is take your existing oil pan do a shop that can weld aluminum and extend the cooling fans.

What is the best mix (ratio) of Water Wetter? and regarding your comment on welding fins, I could easily create a simple "scoop" to funnel air at speed to the oil pan and I do have a J's vented hood! I will be running the Comptech header w/ a 3 inch header back exhaust - The under hood temps is something I am looking at right now!
Thanks

Sounds like you're going all-out, Nick. I've nothing constructive to add other than to beg for a ride if you do any Moroso events. Missing the S - lease ended in March. Good luck, sounds like a beast. Must pull hard at 14psi.

i do 15-20% water wetter and rest water.. also you can thermal wrap your header and other parts under the hood to further reduce temp.
