Default Track Saturday... Alignment look ok?

I am running re01rs 255/40/17 rear and 225/45/17 front

I went in for an alignment and decided to try this first:

Rear Camber -3.0
Rear Toe .09

Front Camber -2.1
Caster 6.2
Toe -.14

It felt great for the most part but would feel like the rear wanted to hop a tad on exit, and on high speed turns it would feel really floaty and want to push out.

I went in today and changed the front toe thinking that was the problem (keep in mind I don't know that much about alignments) to this:

Rear Camber -3.0
Rear Toe .09

Front Camber -2.1
Caster 6.2
Toe -.03

Now I can't take the turn as a whole as fast as the rear starts to come out and steering feels a bit looser.

What do I need to change? Thanks guys!

uh, is that toe out in the rear? If so - get that fixed ASAP.

No, toe in. Toe out is in the front.

I would have suggested zero toe to slight toe in on the front.

-.03 (in what units?!) is probably close enough to zero toe to be OK, though.

the units are in degrees, I did the alignment. We're just trying to tweak it to get the best possible handling. I was thinking to toe out more in the front to help turn in. We're trying to figure out why the back is pushing out. Is there too much negative camber in the rear, is it hurting more than helping? TIA

I don't know. -3 rear camber is definitely not too much. I doubt the problem is the alignment.

I didn't think so either, i'll pull the camber in 1/2 a degree and see what happens. I'm also leaning towards the tires being pushed passed it's limits. Re01R's are street tires and are no way comparable to an R compound.

On the first alignment most of it was ok at lower speed turns... on higher speed turns, it was very unstable and floaty.

I thought it was the toe out, but maybe it was just the lack of front camber to compensate for the rear?

So maybe instead of the toe being the prob, it was the front camber?

Come on stop just viewing this thread and post.
