Thumbs up Track tire setup

I'm finally ready to pick up my first set of R-comps and have decided to go with Nitto NT01.

They will be on some light Advan RG1's (F: 17x7.5 +48 / R: 17x8.5 +50)

Should I go with 255/40/17 and 225/45/17 or is there a better combo? I read 235 front maybe? Not sure if it will fit but obviously we want less stagger.

I will be rolling my fenders and adding tons of camber.

Thanks!

I run 235/40/17(17x7.5 +50) & 255/40/17(17x9 +63) RA-1's with a Gendron bar and wing.

Are you sure 235 fits on a 7.5 wheel? The Nitto spec sheet says 8/8.5/9 is approved.

countless people put a 245 on a rear ap1 wheel (7.5 inches) and a 225 on a front ap1 wheel (6.5) the later is much worse, but it works fine.

Not sure what your experience is, but i'd stick with staggered setup unless you're really comfortable with controlling oversteer. 235 should fit perfectly on a 7.5"

Not to hijack, but just curious ... does anyone have track experience or comments on the RE01-Rs? I was planning to try these (225/255) a couple of times this summer on my AStock prepped '05 or would you recommend burning up my old v710s with about 1-2/32nds left?

They're good, but they're still a street tire. On two occasions I've run RE-01's and RA-1's on the same day(not simultaneously however ).
