Default Traction Formula's

I've seen traction formulas that I believe people use for drag 1/4 mile racing. I was wondering if they can be used on road course R compound tires to soften a harder compound or enhance an older heat cycled tire.

I used Formula V traction treatment on a set of Hoosiers on my old CRX. The tires had seen rougly 30 heat cycles and were rock hard but had plenty of meat left on them; the stuff softened them up for 1 heat cycle and then needed another treatment. I figure I probably got another 6-10 cycles out of them before they were rocks. The small cost of the treatment was worth it for the extra use, just don't expect it to bring them back to fresh-tire performance.
