Default Transponder purchase.?

If I were to prepare myself for future track days and Time Trials, which transponder would I buy? how much $ are they?

AMB and they are about $300. You should also consider a hot lap timer for in-car lap time measurement but the "official" timer will be an AMB.

Also note that AMB sells two versions - one has a rechargeable battery and the other hardwires to the electrical system of the car.

Note that AMB is coming out with a third version - one with a laptime display in the car. That's the one I'd wait for if I were you. Unknown when it's being released, but should be this year for sure.

I'm thinking about it, but I'm still trying to sort out classing for some mystery cars from *Sebring*. Besides, it doesn't give you any more info than what we already have.

where can i buy the transponder? I can only find little clubs (like the shelby club) selling them..... any vendors? I need it for 2 weeks from now.
