TT suspension
I'm looking into buying a set of coilovers for my car, I'm currently on stock suspension and I'm not really sure what to go with. I want to use my points the best I can to stay in TTC. I'm mainly just looking for opinions on what you all would go with. I'v been looking into the AST 4150's and Ohlins road & track since they would use the least amount of points but I really have no clue which is better as I have no previous experience with suspension other than stock. The price range for those two are about what i'm looking to spend also. If there is other good ones out there that I should consider please let me know! I'm just looking for opinions on what I should do. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the replies, I really like how the 4150's can be upgraded to double adjustable if I ever wanted to do that. What do you all think are good spring rates for those dampers? Also, I like how the ohlins are a complete kit but i'v read the spring rates may be too soft, do you think that is something to be concerned about if I go that way?

Hypercoils are $55-$75 per spring (plus shipping, tax). So that is worth $250-$325. The rates are 550lb/in (10kg/mm) and 450 lb/in (8kg/mm). If you are coming from the stock suspension that should be fine.

If you need non remote reservoirs, look into the MCS singles.

Thanks for that! I had no clue about the price of upgrading, just saw that it was possible on their website.
It is important to understand adjusters are different...the operate on different things, they work well to really not at all. Most are pretty marginal.
The rebound knob is the most common. It usually adjusts a low speed bleed port in the shaft. Making a needle or other mechanism that operates meaningfully, consistently across shocks, and linearly is nearly an insurmountable hurdle.
Most compression adjusters are high speed adjusters operating on the fluid flowing into reservoir. What fluid flows into the reservoir? The fluid displaced by the shaft.
The net is that the adjustment you get may not be what you think it is. I don't think any of these shocks come with an individual shock dyno sheet of what that shock does...at each adjustment setting.
I don't know anything about AST. It may be great...I don't know. Ohlins is a major manufacturer with shocks in the major pro series, and the DFV has been widely reviewed on this site and others and pretty uniformly gets high marks in primarily street driven cars that are also used for track days.
