Default Visor up or down?

Visor up or down? Mine is usually up (75%) except when instructing in a student's S2000/FF race car etc.

Up no wind and cools slightly, and at least no fogging.

Mine is usually down but not locked closed.

I've hit two birds on track, both at Spokane.

No issues. One bird was just the slightest graze. I'm not sure if it survived. The other one hit the windshield solidly, but was small enough to just bounce off. The whole rest of the session, I saw it lying dead there every time I passed that spot.
