Default Volk CE28N

My rear CE28N (17x8.5 63 offset) was damaged yesterday. I need a replacement ASAP as I'm leaving Wed afternoon for an open track event in Las Vegas.

Great opportunity to sell one wheel of a damaged set. Condition doesn't matter as long as the wheel is sound.

I can use 17x8.5 or the 17x9. Believe it or not I have one each ... I just need two of the same flavor.

Anyone?

-MSM

ps Okay, probably doesn't belong in this forum, but I'm desperate and it seemed like the place where someone might have a single ce28 that they can sell.

pps I know, I know, I know ... I wouldn't be in this situation if I'd just gone to the the SV event at BW!!!

PM rlaifatt. I don't know what size his is, but I know he has a spare. Maybe he's willing to sell it.

The spare is a 17 x 7.5 front. I could lend you one or a pair of rear 17 x 9, but would it be worth the effort to get my tires unmounted and the rims to and from you?

Probably not. If you had a spare rear you wanted to sell ... it would make sense. I just need to learn to buy ALL my wheels in the same size!

How big of an issue would it be for me to mount the RA1s and run 17x8.5 on one side in the rear and 17x9 on the other side? If that's not advisable, I can just take the tires down to Vegas and once there have them mounted on my street rims (Volk TE37s).

First time I've EVER had an issue with someone co-driving my car ... and it's the same week as a long scheduled trip to the track with my son. ARG!

I'm still planning on bringing the car out to the bay area and hope to make it to at least a few SV events this winter.

I don't know, but I would guess that it would not matter much, esp. regarding safety, if the tires were 255/40's which are within the spec for both size rims. For a tire near the size limit (or over the limit for the 8.5") like 275/40's, the resulting difference, if any, in diameters would be more significant and could pose both a safety problem as well as a performance imbalance.

I am running 255 40 in the rear, so maybe I'll go ahead and run one 17x8.5 and one 17x9.
