What am i doing wrong!
let me start off by saying that i know s2000's are not drag cars i just went cause my friends were going and i didn't want to just watch
i went to the track for the first time with the s yesterday and this is what i got
i'm running with AEM V1 cai, berk test pipe, okada coil packs, i also ran with my rims (bbs lm's with 85% tread on toyo t1r) too cause i didn't have my re070's mounted on my stock rims yet.
this is my best run, i could get my 60' down below 2.2, i think i shifted pretty quick, my friends told me that i was chirping every single gear including 3rd to 4th
what am i doing wrong here?

i think the problem is that your trying to drag race an S2000. The car isnt known for how fast in a straight line but how well it can do in the twisties. Try an autocross youll have a lot more fun with the car

The difference between a 13.9 and a 14.04 (basically a tenth of a sec.) could be humidity, temperature, surface conditions in the launch area, lots of things. While its nice to say "I have a 13 second car", otherwise it means very little.
An et of 14 flat is right around what various published road tests have produced. And believe it or not, a lot of car mag. road testers do know how to run a car down the track for best effect.
The s2k is not that quick in the quarter relative to whats out there on the market. When it was introduced, the S2k was a rare thing: around 30K got you a 14 flat (among its many other abilities.) Now there are v6 accords knocking on the 14 sec. mark and srt4s that cost about 2/3 of what an S2000 goes for that are deep into the 13s.
There will always be somebody faster. Relax and enjoy the ride.
Happy motoring.
